I’ve been swept off my feet recently and wanted to do a vLog to announce Alpha Dog but, alas, I’ve been pumping out tracks left, right and center this past week – a sight best left off camera!! ^^

So this is interesting… Alpha Dog catching the attention of the Americans. It was completely unplanned, but since the opportunity came about I thought I’d give the song a good enough chance with a more club-friendly remix for the DJs to play with.

I’m glad you guys like it and I’m counting on your support to help spread the word across the digital ether… don’t let me down!! ^^’ Whore out that YouTube embed code!!

Btw… YouTube is screwing up the Phunkstar Vocal Mix by cutting off the audio after 1min 30. This is due to an error with their upload service and as soon as they’re sorted themselves out I’ll re-upload it to the channel.

Absolution

Below is a statement from Bentley Jones regarding his work with Sonic Team;

It disappoints me to announce that the latest SEGA / Wave-Master releases relating to the Sonic series have proceeded without my consent, approval or notification. Specifically regarding the “True Colors” album, I wish to stress that I have not paid any direct contribution to its production at any point and is therefore not an accurate representation of my work. Furthermore; the music, vocals, production, engineering and my likeness(es) that appear on these albums do so without my permission, proper crediting and, in some instances, by breaching the copyrights of my work.

The royalties that I would normally be entitled to for any music that I have written have been denied, and so the only people who have been profiting from the exploitation of me and my music are SEGA.

The delay in issuing this statement has been due to legal investigations, and because of ongoing inquiries it may not be possible to comment on this area of my work through any medium: my sincerest apologies to the fans. Under protest, I will not list nor promote these albums as I do not consider them to be official additions to my discography.

I hope that my fans will understand and sympathise with this situation and I hope it will be resolved very soon.

Admittedly, the original rules were a little restricted. The reason you weren’t allowed to use GAME CHARACTERS in your entries was because of the legal complications of them appearing in the official music video.

But there have been SO MANY of you who have protested over this that we have come up with a simple solution…

YOU CAN NOW USE GAME CHARACTERS IN YOUR ENTRIES!! To make this happen we’ve had to cancel production of the official music video so that MORE of you can enter. It’s a small price to pay BUT you can still win the same INCREDIBLE PRIZE BUNDLES! Plus there is an extended deadline to Midnight (GMT) March 5th 2010 for anyone who wants to work on a new entry.

YOU CAN:
Sing / Lip-sync
Dance
Act
Play / Air an instrument
Animate
Be as CREATIVE as you can!

YOU CANNOT:
You cannot excessively use official artwork
You cannot use game footage
You cannot use official animations (cutscenes, cartoons, anime etc.)

WINNERS will still receive the original prize bundles. Even better in fact… the concept art has been upgraded to a SIGNED CONCEPT ART BOOK from SONIC & SEGA ALL-STARS RACING.

Entries that have already been accepted WILL NOT BE AFFECTED and the original terms and conditions still apply. However, if you want to SUBMIT A NEW ENTRY you can do that too!

As you’re all aware, here in sunny England we’ve been recently blessed with a slight sprinkle of snow.
