You have spoken and we have listened!! (^^)

Admittedly, the original rules were a little restricted. The reason you weren’t allowed to use GAME CHARACTERS in your entries was because of the legal complications of them appearing in the official music video.

But there have been SO MANY of you who have protested over this that we have come up with a simple solution…

YOU CAN NOW USE GAME CHARACTERS IN YOUR ENTRIES!! To make this happen we’ve had to cancel production of the official music video so that MORE of you can enter. It’s a small price to pay BUT you can still win the same INCREDIBLE PRIZE BUNDLES! Plus there is an extended deadline to Midnight (GMT) March 5th 2010 for anyone who wants to work on a new entry.

YOU CAN:
Sing / Lip-sync
Dance
Act
Play / Air an instrument
Animate
Be as CREATIVE as you can!

YOU CANNOT:
You cannot excessively use official artwork
You cannot use game footage
You cannot use official animations (cutscenes, cartoons, anime etc.)

WINNERS will still receive the original prize bundles. Even better in fact… the concept art has been upgraded to a SIGNED CONCEPT ART BOOK from SONIC & SEGA ALL-STARS RACING.

Entries that have already been accepted WILL NOT BE AFFECTED and the original terms and conditions still apply. However, if you want to SUBMIT A NEW ENTRY you can do that too!

REMIX FACTORY: I need YOU now…

Big news relating to my musical outputs next year… I’m setting up my own label! That’s right, the Remix Factory has expanded and become Remix Factory Music.

For a long time I’ve grown tired of relying on an industry that hasn’t done me many favours over the course of my career. I’ve been waiting for the opportunity to go independent and it finally arrived in the form of “So Much More…” (announcement arriving in the next week). This doesn’t mean that I won’t be working with labels in the future, but if things go well and you guys are happy then I’ll continue forward on this path.

So now I’m entirely in control… every single aspect of my work has been crafted by me… and as daunting as it seems, it’s also been a very empowering experience so far.

So this is where you come in… I’m endlessly grateful for the support you’ve given me so far which is why, now that I’m in the driving seat, I want to get you more involved in the production process so that my outputs are tailor made to YOUR tastes! (^^) I’m hoping that by making you a critical part of my work, you’ll continue to support me by buying my music and making “So Much More…” a success…

…that way I can continue making the music I want to make, as well as the music YOU want me to make! (^^)

DOWNLOAD: “They Call Me Sonic” studio version + DEVIANTART: contest results!

I got a serious telling off from my publisher in Japan yesterday – for working too hard!! (@@”) This was a big deal in itself since I don’t get told off too often… but coming from the world’s hardest working country I figured I should take their opinion seriously. I was given strict instructions to take today off… but I figured I could still sneak in a lil’ blog before I go back to sitting on my ass.

The results of the art contest over at my fanclub on DeviantArt are in!! A huge thanks to everyone who took part and the good folks who organised it, and congratulations to the winning entry (left) by Shadra! Check out the results and other entries right here.

Anyone catch the parody of “They Call Me Sonic” at SOS09? Everyone’s been asking for a studio version of this masterpiece so Sonic Wrecks are kindly hosting a free download!! You can grab the complimentary MP3 right here. I’ll be uploading the studio version to my YouTube over the weekend when I’m allowed access to my PC again!! SUMMER OF SONIC: It’s all over!! (;___;) (Updated)

Holy crap! What an amazing day!! I had such a blast at SOS this year and I want to thank everyone for making it so special. It was really great to see the community pulling together and making the event even better than last year!

I didn’t want to leave, but I had to dash away to do some more work over weekend so expect my full movies and pictures next week. In the meantime…

SUMMER OF SONIC: 1 day to go!

Things have been absolutely freakin’ hectic around here. Not only am I single-handedly trying to execute my plans for world domination, I have the little task of preparing for Summer of Sonic which is happening on Saturday in London. I’m SO excited to see everyone again and I can’t wait for you to check out the live renditions of some of my latest tracks!! (^____________^)
